There is a small island in its centre known as Zainalank. This is an artificial lake built by King Zain-ul-Abideen, with an ancient temple and a mosque.
Wular Vantage park- this park gives a view of entire lake.
Lake doubles up as a bird watcher’s paradise as it is known for its avian population. One can see some beautiful bird species at all the times of the day.
Prominent places nearby are baba Shakur-ud-Din, Rampur-Rajpur, Watlab and Manasbal lake.
