As a part of it every year World Tourism Day is being celebrated on 27th September with a theme across the world to flourish, Strengthen and Sustain tourism for generations. The State Tourism Department organise a week long programmes in the State for all age groups.
The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) In the year 1980, The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has started organizing World Tourism Day as an International observance on September 27 of every year. India being a member State of United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), since then every year on this day (September 27), this auspicious event of World Tourism Day have been organized with a designated slogans (Taglines) to emphasize the significance of tourism and to influence the growth of Social, Cultural and Economy of global community.
