The air vibrated with anticipation as runners gathered for the World Tourism Day Marathon, organized by the Department of Tourism, Tamil Nadu. This grand event aimed to promote tourism, physical fitness, and community engagement.
As participants arrived, the grounds transformed into a sea of color and energy. Runners donned vibrant jerseys, representing various districts of Tamil Nadu. Volunteers clad in bright yellow vests bustled about, ensuring a seamless experience.At 7:00 AM, the marathon commenced with a ceremonial flag-off by the Honorable Minister of Tourism, Tamil Nadu, amidst thunderous applause. enthusiastic runners took off, their footsteps pounding the track in unison. The routes wound through Chidambaram's picturesque landscapes, showcasing the town's rich cultural heritage.Spectators cheered from the sidelines, holding banners and placards promoting Tamil Nadu's tourism slogan, "Tamil Nadu Where Stories Never End." Local school children.As runners crossed the finish line, exhaustion gave way to elation. Medals and certificates were awarded to the top three finishers in each category.
