Tusu Festival

The region of Jharkhand between Bundu, Tamar, and Raidih is where this festival is primarily observed. Paddy and rice are the key ingredients of the harvest festival. The final stack of paddy on the field after all the stacks have been cut off is known as dinimai. Tusu is this dinimai. The family leader brings the dinimai from the farm, and the young females start Tusu on that same day. Despite the lack of a written history for this event, it boasts a vast array of electrifying melodies that are alive with flavour. The simplicity and innocence of tribal people are reflected in these songs.
