Temple is always open as there are no gates. Santhana Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located in the midway of the hilltop. Midway up, there is a small shrine which encloses the Santhana Hanuman. Several childless couples come and pray to this Santhana Hanuman to be blessed with children as brave and strong as the Vayu Putra himself.
Nobody knows when the Hanuman appeared there, but everybody agrees on the extremely powerful radiation generating around him. An educated researcher of Vedanta, Shri Vyasa Thirtha set up the icon of Shri Hanuman here and in this way the name Ranamandala Anjanaswamy and installed nine hanumans in all in and around Adoni.
It is trusted this is where Anjaneya Swamy Killed devils in a war who are attempting to bother Lord Sree Rama's rest. Henceforth this place got the name Rana Mandala, where Rana implies war and mandala implies local and it is also believed this site is where , during their exile, Lord Rama shot an arrow and formed a lake to provide water to Goddess Sita There are no sanctuary timings all things considered as there are no doors or structures to counteract anybody to go and visit the huge and intense Hanuman.
Anjaneya Swamy once appeared in the dreams of a devotee and instructed him that temple should be built in a day only. Devotee tried to build the temple with the help of others but could not finish within time and left the materials as it is. That is the reason why this temple doesn’t have any roof and is in the open air. Chariot festival will be celebrated every year in August month and will be conducted to special pooja in Sravanamasam distance from kurnool 100 Kms.
