In Khargone city, the city tour of Lord Shri Siddhatha Mahadev ji is celebrated every year in the month of Shravan (July-Aug) with special joy in the form of Shiv Dola celebration. A variety of religious and cultural Jhankis (tableaus) march along with the Dola. This day, along with locals from Khargone city, the devotees from the district and outside the district come to attend the religious festival.This event features over 80 stalls (which include food items), 25 tableaux, and 19 folk dance groups participating. The Hanuman Chalisa is recited collectively at this event. Starting from Siddhanath Mahadev Temple, the Shiva procession completed its route by passing through Dola Bhavasar Dharamshala, Bawdi Bus Stand, Diversion Road, Gayatri Mandir Tiraha, Fountain Chowk Bus Stand, Soni Pratima Tiraha, Bistan Road Tiraha, Shri Krishna Talkies Square, Guru Nanakdev Chowk, Gol Building, and Sarafa Bazaar.Situated on the banks of Kunda River, Khargone is famous for Navgraha Mandir, a temple which is devoted to the nav grahas or the nine planets, Ahilya Fort, Rinmukteshwar Mahadev Temple, Sahastra Dhara, and last but not the least Pandrinath temple.
