attractions. The annual Shimla Summer Festival is one of the attractions for
the tourists and locals as well. It is held in the last week of May/1st week of

pStarted in 1960, the Summer Festival holds a
series of events, which includes cultural evenings, star nights, flower shows,
painting competition etc. The main function is held at the Ridge, Shimla, in
the heart of the city. Famous singers, local dance troupes, musical bands,
entertaining artists and others put up lively performances. The festival is a
good occasion where the tourists get to part take in the holiday season. The
Summer Festival is also a bouquet of the State's cultural diversity and is a
platform for display of local talent./p
