from our forefather passed down to us.The Riine festival starts at the end of
the year when all hard labour activities are completed for that year and the
granaries are fully filled. It’s a time

usually begins on 24th of Riinekhrii (Lunar month) and goes on till
New Year .During this festivity

neighbours, good friends, relatives, in- laws, etc. exchange gifts specially
delicious curries and drinks as a sign of love and affection.
Helps
the poor with our generosity. -

The
elderly people are showered with
affections and love as “ xhachhi” (most delicious food and drink of
Riine) their in – laws , sons and
daughters , relaxing with them, listening to their stories

As the festival ends and begin the New Year,
the folks prepare themselves physically and mentally to work hard for the
coming year again.
