present Avasarpiṇī. On the Gregorian calendar, the holiday occurs either
in March or April. On the day of Lord Mahavir Jayanti, the procession of Lord
Mahavir is taken out, in which the people of Jain religion take out a

Jainism. In the Parasnath temple of Jharkhand, worship is done by the people of
Jain religion on the day of Lord Mahavir Jayanti. Parasnath Temple is located
in Giridih district of Jharkhand state. The Parasnath temple is situated on the
hills, whose height is about 1365 meters.
