Thousands of people attends the Mahashivaratri fair, here Mahashivaratri fair has been held continiously for 150 years. Merchants from far and wide come here during the fair. This festival is also known as Ganga jis Jatra. According to the mythological folklore of Ganga ji Rameshwar Mahadev temple It is said that; while passing through Palsana village Mata Sita felt thirsty and asked Lord Rama for water. At that time there was no water in the forest so Lord Rama took out his arrow and hit the trunk of a Pipal tree and Ganga ji herself flowed, from there Sitaji quenched her thirst after drinking this water. From that day it is believed that Gangaji Devadhidev Bhole Nath is sitting here in the form of Rameshwar Mahadev. Thus being Shiva temple the Mahashivratri mela organized in the temple vicinity attracts a huge number of tourists Pooja for parahar and other special abhisheks are performed here during the mela. Temporary shops are set up in rows Handicraft Stall Food Stalls and Play Activity Zone are setup for the tourists.
