Karam Puja

During the Karam festival, the goddess of youth, strength, health and prosperity is worshipped. The Karam dance is performed by men and women who pass the branch of the Karam tree to each other while dancing. They form a circle and dance with their hands on each other’s waists. At the same time, unmarried tribal girls celebrate the Jawa festival. It brings tribals closer to their customs and traditions and allows them to hold the hands of their loved ones while swaying to the beat of the drums.
