Heritage Walk and Awareness Program at Buddhist Stupa, Amaravati, Andhra
Pradesh on 25th July 2024 in association with Archeological Survey of India,
Amaravati Circle and Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department. India is hosting the 46th
Session of the World Heritage Committee in New Delhi from 21st July to 31ST July
2024, to celebrate this moment and create awareness about the rich heritage of
Andhra Pradesh among the students (Yuva Tourism Club), Indiatourism Vijayawada
office is hosting this program.
The Amaravati Stupa is a ruined Buddhist monument located in the village of
Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was likely built in phases between the 3rd
century BCE and about 250 CE, making it one of the oldest and largest Buddhist
stupas in the world.

10 am: Assemble at the ASI Amaravati Stupa
10.30 am: welcome note and introduction about the event.
10.45-11.30 am: Guided walk around Buddha Stupa.
11.30-12.30 pm: ASI Museum tour for Yuva Tourism Club members
12.45 pm: Walk to Buddha Statue
01.00 pm: Lunch at Amaravati Buddhist Centre
