DEVMOGRA MATAJI MELA

Devemogra Mataji Mela is a famous annual festival of Satpuda tribes of Vidhya Hills in Maharashtra Gujarat . This involves worshiping their Kuldevi ( Godess of the clan). The temple of the community KulDevi Pandori Mataji is situated in Dev Mogra under Sagbara taluka of Narmada District and it said that it was founded Hiroji Chauhan about 1500 years ago. Sagbara was the capital of the Chauhan king, Devmogra and  is a symbol of immense faith and trust for the entire tribal community. The locals devotees of Dev Mogra Mataji come in large numbers from all four states namely  Gujarat ,Maharashtra, Rajasthan ,and Madhya Pradesh .  Other tribal from all over the country also  come here  to worship the deity every year around Mahashivaratri T. his annual fair is organized by District Administration and four to five lakh  devotees come to pray and take blessings . The fair usually lasts for five to six days starting from the day of Maha Shivaratri .
