Aoleang Festival
Aoleang Monyü is an ancient spring festival celebrated by all Konyaks in the first week of Aoleang lee (April) since time immemorial. Aoleang is observed to mark the end of the old year and to welcome the new-year beginning with spring. Prayers are offered to God for a bountiful harvest. This festival is celebrated annually as part of the Mini Hornbill Tribal Festival.
