27th International Yoga festival

Welcome to International Yoga Festival at Puducherry – the land where numerous Siddhas and Saints have attained salvation. The serene atmosphere of this spiritual city has been a catalyst for several research studies on Yoga and is home to two world -renowned Yoga Institutions. In 1993, the Government of Puducherry conducted its first International Yoga Festival. The festival was a grand success with numerous participants from all over the world. Following this, the festival was made an annual event that takes place from 4th to 7th January.  The year, 2023 marks the 28th Edition of this International Yoga festival. The festival will begin on the 4th of January 2023 at Sri Jayaram Thirumana Nilayam, Puducherry, where after an official inauguration, one can experience a cultural programme in the evening at Gandhi Thidal, Beach Road. The programme will include a discourse and workshop on various topics pertaining to Yoga. Numerous yogasana competitions across various age groups and genders will be held during the festival – culminating to one final round of Yogasana competitions to select the Champion of the Meet. The International Yoga festival aims at the development of consciousness at all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It fosters a feeling of fulfilment in every aspect of life.
