Every year a theme is decided by the UNWTO to celebrate WTD, this year’s theme is ‘Tourism and Sustainable Transformation’. Urging travelers and industry stakeholders to embrace responsible Tourism Department of Tourism, Jodhpur will celebrate World Tourism Day on 27th September 2025.On occasion of World Tourism day tourist reception Centre Jodhpur will welcome foreign as well as domestic tourists in traditional way with Garland at Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur, Khichan, Phalodi and Ranakpur Temple, Pali from 09:00 am onwards. There will be cultural performance by the folk artists at Government Museum - Umaid Garden, Mehrangarh Fort - Jodhpur and Khichan-Phalodi and Ranakpur Temple Pali from 9: 30am to 1:30 p.m. Tree Plantation will also a part of this day at TRC Jodhpur.
The day emphasizes responsible tourism practices to protect the environment and support local communities, aligning with global sustainability goals. At various monuments of Jodhpur, Phalodi and Pali, this day will be celebrated with various Cultural performances. At Khichan-Phalodi cleanliness drive will be perform in association with District Administration and Tourism Department.
