World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated annually on 5 June and is the United Nations principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. First held in 1973, it has been a platform for raising awareness on environmental issues such as marine pollution, overpopulation, global warming, sustainable development and wildlife crime. To promote the importance of literacy among children & adults while introducing them to different genres of books for reading & sale purposes. This day has created a platform to raise awareness that the world is facing the problem such as air pollution, plastic pollution, global warming and sea level increasing day by day. This event will start at 9 o’clock morning to evening 7 o’clock.
Some of the activities and sights that will interest the traveller visitinf Nadabet include the retreat ceremony against the backdrop of a glorious orange sunset where the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans put up a gallant show of marching with pride to end another day of guarding the borders. A weapon display and photo gallery at Nada Bet includes guns, tanks and other sophisticated devices that help in keeping the border and inland places secure.
