On August 14, 2024, Baghpat District will commemorate "Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas" (Partition Horrors Remembrance Day) as per the directives of District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh. This day is dedicated to paying homage to the sons and daughters of our beloved motherland who sacrificed their lives during the Partition of India. The event aims to remind the current and future generations of the suffering and anguish endured by people during that time.The main venue for the observance will be the Vikas Bhawan Meeting Hall where an exhibition featuring photographs related to the horrors of Partition will be displayed. This exhibition, organized by the Information and Public Relations Department, Baghpat, will be open for viewing by local dignitaries, officials, and respected citizens of the district.As part of the program, a silent march carrying the national flag will be held at 11:00 AM, starting from Vikas Bhawan and ending at the Collectorate premises. This march will include school children, officials, employees, and other distinguished citizens, symbolizing unity and remembrance.
