Tourism Awareness Week - 27th July to 3rd August

This Awareness week aims to create positive perception and positive attitude towards tourism among the local communities and Tourism Service Providers such as accommodation units, restaurants, shops/ vendors and transport services that directly interact with tourists/ visitors. In addition, the Tourism Department , Government of Mizoram also aims to recognize and promote villages that have tourism potentials that can provide memorable and enriching experience to visitors. Various activities to be executed under Tourism Awareness Week - 2024 are: 1. Tourism Awareness Week Roadshow & Kickoff Programme 2. Tourism Talk – Show 3. Rural Tourism Workshop & Tourism Village Competition 4. Distribution of Tourism Awareness Pamphlets 5. Tourism Awareness Hoardings The Tourism Department, Government of Mizoram plans to foster tourism awareness within host communities who play vital roles in supporting local economy and shaping the face of a State or destination and also considering the necessity and importance of having positive attitude and positive perception which is essential for sustainable, responsible and harmonious tourism development within Mizoram.
