Summer Festival
The
Summer Festival is celebrated in the month of Vaishakh, on the occassion of
Budhha Purnima. The event witnesses a unique ancient tradition of Garasia
tribal community from all over Rajasthan who come to Mount Abu, to immerse the
ashes of their elders who have passed on. They rejoice in the celebrations
afterwards through songs and dances in their traditional attires. The

confluence of Garasia community brings with a rich tribal tradition of
"snatching brides" during this fair. /pThe Summer Festival is combined with this
cultural extravaganza every year. The highlights of the event are the Grand
Carnival kicking off the event, Traditional Folk performances of Rajasthani
folk artists, adventure activities like Rappelling, Mountaineering, Boat Race
in Nakki Lake, and a variety of Sports Activities spread over a duration of 3
days culminating in a grand show of Bollywood artists.
