State Formation Day
The state of Telangana was
officially formed on 2 June 2014. The
day marks significance in the state’s history for the sustained Telangana
movement through the years. All 33 districts in Telangana
celebrate this day by hoisting the national flag. Not only in Telangana the events are celebrated in Delhi, the capital of India and other countries too where Telugu....

movement through the years. All 33 districts in Telangana
celebrate this day by hoisting the national flag. Not only in Telangana the events are celebrated in Delhi, the capital of India and other countries too where Telugu diaspora live. The state sponsors events
and celebrations. Telangana State Awards for exemplary contribution in
different fields are presented at different events. Telangana food
festival at hotels, cultural events will be held. The
state pay floral tributes at the memorial of Telangana martyrs and give them a
guard of honour by an armed police contingent.
