With the arrival of monsoon, Saputara comes alive with festivities, color, and culture. Every year, Gujarat Tourism organizes the Monsoon Festival to attract tourists from across the country, and this year too, the celebrations have begun with great enthusiasm. Nestled in the Sahyadri Hills (Western Ghats), Saputara—Gujarat’s only hill station—transforms into a lush, misty retreat during the rainy season. The landscape is adorned with verdant forests, gushing waterfalls, and a refreshing atmosphere, making it a perfect escape for nature lovers. The Monsoon Festival fills the town with vibrant energy—cultural programs, tribal art, local food stalls, and adventure activities like trekking, boating, and zip-lining offer something for everyone. Streets come alive with music, dance, and traditional performances, while local artisans showcase their crafts in colorful markets. Though Saputara draws visitors all year round, the monsoon season is the most magical time to visit, when the hill station is beautifully decorated and truly at its scenic and cultural best.
