The evening began with a grand welcome dance, "Padharo Mhare Desh," a warm invitation to the audience to experience the rich cultural tapestry of Rajasthan. This performance was a delightful confluence of multiple traditional dance forms of Rajasthan, each more captivating than the last. The rendition was brought to life by the soulful vocals and traditional instruments played by the Langa and Manganiyar communities, the revered caste musicians from Western Rajasthan. Instruments like the Khartal, Algoza, Surinda, Ravanhatta, Kamayacha, Morchang, and Surrnai added a rustic charm, creating an enchanting atmosphere that resonated with the audience.
