Neermahal Festival

Neermahal, Lake palace on Rudrasagar (a Lake measuring 5.3 sq. km.) is situated at Melaghar, Sepahijala District, Tripura. It is about 55 km. away from Agartala. The entire area will be decorated during the festival by setting up of arches, gates, columns etc. good number of banners flex and scroll will also be displayed in and around Neermahal area as well as in Agartala, the state capital. It will also be decorated with flag, festoons flag, night illumination etc. A cultural stage will be setup at Rajghat (on bank of Rudrasagar) near Neermahal for organizing cultural programmes where cultural troupes from different parts of the stage specially from 19 ethnic the groups of Tripura will participate. A part from this cultural troupe will also be invited from the neighboring states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and also West Bengal and Orissa. An exhibition will be organized by setting up of a good number of stalls. Many Government Departments, NGO’s will participate in the exhibition. The traditional cultures of the state will be shown in the exhibition in a befitting manner. From Tourism also numbers of stalls will be setup for showcasing different Tourist Spots of the state with adequate information as regards Tripura Tourism.
