Amboli Ghat is a hill station, located in the Sindhudurg district of South Maharashtra. It is known for a lot of reasons, one of them being the waterfalls. It is situated in the Sahayadari hills of the Western Ghats. Also, 31 kms. from a small and beautiful town of Sawantwadi. Amboli recieves the second highest rainfall in Maharashtra; hence, monsoon from July to August are a great time to visit Amboli. The dense forest and lush vegetation along the steep hills of Amboli come to life during these months. The hills are covered with mist in the mornings making it a perfect time for a leisurely stroll. This is the peak season in Amboli as most tourists explore the waterfalls and go for picnics to popular view points to get a panoramic view of the valley during monsoons. Amboli ghat is perched in the Sahyadri ranges. Mesmerising waterfalls and high viewing points make Amboli a monsoon heaven. Right from delicious Konkani meals to the relaxing ambience of the hill station. Everything at Amboli looks picturesque. Apart from the waterfalls on the hill station, there are other attractions nearby too. Some of them are Hiranyakeshwar temple , Shirgaonkar point , Madhavgarh Fort, Nangartas Waterfalls and Kaveleshet Point etc.
