June 21, International Yoga Day celebrates the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world stage and it is practiced in various forms around the world and continues to grow in popularity. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. While it is an important source of exercise and healthy activity millions join in and practice on a daily basis. For many, these routines are a way to connect the body, mind and soul in a way that has existed for centuries. This event starts from 6 o’clock in the morning to morning 9 o’clock. Some of the activities and sights that will interest the traveller at Nadabet include the retreat ceremony against the backdrop of a glorious orange sunset where the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans put up a gallant show of marching with pride to end another day of guarding the borders. A weapon display and photo gallery at Nada Bet includes guns, tanks and other sophisticated devices that help in keeping the border and inland places secure.
