Dussehra is one of the grandest festivals of India, also known as Dasahara, Dusshera, Dussehra or Dashain and is observed on the day of Vijaya Dashami, the tenth day of Navaratri. It is the occasion to glorify and rejoice the victory of good over evil.

On this occasion, Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava are adorned in a special Alankara as Sri Sri Sita Rama and receive all the pujas of the festival. Sri Rama Taraka Yajna is performed by offering oblations into the sacrificial fire while chanting Sri Rama Ashtottara Shata Nama, 108 holy names of Lord Rama. The significance of Dasara celebrations will be narrated by a senior devotee of Hare Krishna Mandir followed by a Grand Hanumad Vahan Ratha Yatra.Rama-Leela Dance Drama will be performed for the pleasure of their Lordships. After that 60 feet effigies will be burned down made up of fire crackers. In the temple hall, ceremonious Pallaki Utsava will be celebrated along with melodious kirtan. Come Be a part of it.Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhav is carried on a Golden Chariot around the temple in a colorful procession with Kirtans & dance. Depiction of Ram-lila play by professional artists. 60 feet high effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkaran & Meghanath are burnt to mark the victory of god over evil. Special Ram Darbar Darshan. Temple is specially decorated with flowers & festoons. Thousands of people throng from nearby regions to attend this event. Sri Ramataraka Yagna is performed in which 108 holy names of Lord Rama are chanted.
