Haridwar Ganga Aarti

The world famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri was started by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in 1916 and since then Ganga Aarti is being organised by Shri Ganga Sabha. two times in a day, Mangala Aarti at sunrise and Shringar Aarti at sunset. Everyday, a large number of people gather on the both banks of river Ganges to perform Ganga Aarti. The evening ritual is very popular among tourists as the flickering lamps reflected in the river's waters make for a mesmeric sight.
